A word on what new does and does not mean in this category. How we decide what goes on this page

A product belongs here if it is genuinely new to the catalogue: a new device, a new range, or a flavour that has not been sold under another name before. That distinction matters because the vape industry renames things constantly, and a name you have not seen is not automatically a taste you have not had.

IVG NEXiO: the newest complete range

The NEXiO is the most significant recent launch and the one worth understanding properly. It is a two-part pod system: a rechargeable device and a 2ml refill pod. Complete vape kits are £10.95, replacement pods are £7.95, and there are bundles at £18.99 for kits and £34.99 for pods.

The scale of the launch

NEXiO did not arrive as a cautious six-flavour trial. For a buyer that is the important signal, because the risk with any new system is that it is discontinued before the flavour list gets interesting and you are left with a device and nothing to put in it.

What NEXiO changed

The headline change is the completeness of the pod-and-device split from day one. Earlier IVG generations arrived as kits first and refills later, which meant early buyers were effectively running a single-use product until the pod range caught up. NEXiO launched with pods and kits together, in matching flavour coverage, so you can buy a kit and know the refill exists.

The second change is pricing symmetry. NEXiO sits at exactly the same £10.95 and £7.95 as PRO 10K and SMART MAX. That is a deliberate decision: IVG is positioning these three as parallel choices rather than a ladder, so you pick on flavour list and device preference rather than budget.

Living with the NEXiO device

The practical notes are much the same as any modern pod kit, but they bear repeating because new buyers make the same handful of mistakes. Charge over USB-C from a low-output source rather than a fast charger built for a phone. Fit the pod, then leave it for two or three minutes before the first draw so the wick saturates; pulling on a dry wick produces a burnt note that does not clear and wastes the opening millilitres of a £7.95 pod.

Draw gently. These are restricted mouth-to-lung devices and they reward a slow, steady pull rather than a sharp one. IVG PRO 2 10K: the second-generation device

The PRO 2 10K is a genuine hardware revision rather than a colour refresh. Complete kits are £13.95, the device alone is £6.99, and a PRO 2 Device plus 2 Pods package is £19.99.

What is different from the original PRO

Three things. The device is more substantial in the hand and better finished, which is reflected in the £6.99 device price against £4.99 for the original. The colourway range doubled to eight: Hot Pink, Blue, Black, Purple, Gunmetal, Green, Rose Gold and Red, against six on the original. And the kit price moved up by three pounds, from £10.95 to £13.95.

What did not change is the pod price. PRO pods remain £7.95 whichever device you are running them in, which keeps the ongoing cost identical. Given that the pod is the recurring expense and the device is a one-off, the three pound difference on the kit is a smaller factor than it looks.

The launch flavour shortlist

PRO 2 10K kits launched across eight flavours: Fizzy Cherry, Classic Menthol, Blue Sour Raspberry, Blue Raspberry Ice, Strawberry Watermelon, Spearmint, Pineapple Ice and Lemon Lime. Eight colourways, and why that is not just cosmetics

Hot Pink, Blue, Black, Purple, Gunmetal, Green, Rose Gold and Red sounds like a marketing exercise until you own two devices. The single most common hardware annoyance in a household with more than one vaper is picking up the wrong device, and colour is the only practical way to solve it. Recent additions

The newer end of the SMART MAX list is where the more adventurous blends live. Why an unchanged device still counts as new

There is a tendency to equate new with hardware, and it is the wrong instinct. If you already own a SMART MAX device, a dozen new pod flavours are far more relevant to you than a new device you would have to buy. Flavours that sound new but are not

A fair number of listings look new and are the same profile under a different range name. How to read a new flavour name

IVG names follow a reasonably consistent grammar once you know it, and reading it properly saves you money. Take the components in order. Put together, a name like Blue Sour Raspberry tells you precisely what to expect: the blue raspberry base, sharpened, without the heavy cooling that Blue Raspberry Ice carries. Reading the name properly is the difference between a confident order and an expensive guess, particularly when you are buying three or four pods at once from a range you have not tried.

The move away from single-use

The clearest trend is the shift from products designed to be thrown away towards products designed to be kept and refilled. Pod capacity has not changed, and will not

Every pod in every generation is 2ml. That is not a design choice IVG makes, it is the UK legal maximum for a tank or pod containing nicotine e-liquid. Anyone promising a larger nicotine pod for the UK market is either talking about a nicotine-free product or selling something that should not be on sale here. How preorders work here

A preorder reserves stock from the first delivery. Payment is taken at the point of order and the item ships as soon as the stock lands, at which point you get tracking as normal. If you combine a preorder with in-stock items, the whole order waits for the preorder unless you tell us otherwise, so place separate orders if you need the in-stock part immediately.

We do not give firm dates for preorder arrivals unless we have them, because supply timelines move and a date we cannot stand behind is worse than no date. If a preorder is delayed significantly, you can cancel it for a full refund.

New releases sell unevenly. The honest summary is that the current generation costs more to run and is more certain to be supported, while the outgoing generation costs far less to run and carries refill risk. Which of those matters more is entirely a question of how much you vape and how long you intend to keep the device.

Strengths and UK rules: what does not change

New releases do not alter the legal framework, and it is worth restating because it is the part of the market people get wrong most often. Nicotine strength in e-liquid is capped at 20mg/ml. How is the PRO 2 different from the original PRO?

It is a hardware revision rather than a new liquid. The PRO 2 device is more substantial and better finished, comes in eight colourways instead of six, and costs £6.99 on its own against £4.99 for the original. Kits are £13.95 against £10.95. Pod pricing is unchanged at £7.95.

Are the new pods still 2ml?

Yes, and they always will be. UK law caps tank and pod capacity at 2ml for nicotine-containing e-liquid, so every pod across every IVG generation is 2ml. The same rules cap nicotine strength at 20mg/ml and nicotine-containing bottles at 10ml. No new release changes that.

Do my old pods fit the new device?

What does 10K actually mean?

It is the manufacturer's puff rating for the pod, measured under laboratory test conditions. It is useful for comparison within a brand, since a 10K pod is rated at roughly double a 5K pod, but real-world figures vary widely with draw length, draw frequency and device power. Treat it as relative rather than absolute.

How do preorders work?

A preorder reserves stock from the first delivery and payment is taken when you order. The item ships as soon as stock lands, with tracking issued as normal. If you combine a preorder with in-stock items the whole order waits, so order separately if you need part of it immediately. Significantly delayed preorders can be cancelled for a full refund.

Should I switch ranges when something new launches?

What happens to the range I currently use?
