The regulation

The device

A NEXiO device contains a lithium cell and electronics, which places it squarely under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulations. It must never go into a household bin or kerbside recycling. Lithium cells crushed in bin lorries and sorting facilities cause fires, and vape hardware is now a recognised and rising cause of those fires across the UK. Care and Troubleshooting

No response at all

Harsh or burnt taste

General care

Getting Started With NEXiO

The straightforward route is a £10.95 kit in a flavour close to something you already like, plus one refill at £7.95 from a different family so you have a comparison to hand and the order clears free delivery. After that you are buying refills only.

If you already know you want two flavours running at once, two kits at £10.95 is better value than a kit plus a refill, because the second kit brings a second charged device with it. And if you are buying for a household, a kit each is the simplest arrangement given that bare NEXiO devices are not currently sold separately.

How is the IVG NEXiO different from a prefilled pod vape?

A prefilled pod contains the liquid, coil and mouthpiece in one sealed unit that you discard entirely. The NEXiO keeps a 2ml pod on the device and uses a separate sealed refill container to top it up automatically. You replace the container rather than the whole assembly, so less material is discarded per millilitre of liquid used.

Is the NEXiO legal under UK rules?

Yes. UK regulations cap the vaping chamber at 2ml and nicotine at 20mg/ml, and the NEXiO complies with both. The pod the coil draws from holds 2ml and never more; the refill container is a sealed supply that replenishes it rather than a second tank you can vape from directly.

How many NEXiO flavours are there?

Twenty-nine are stocked as complete kits at £10.95 and twenty-seven of those are also available as standalone refills at £7.95. Cherry Ice and Fresh Mint are currently kit-only. The range is still expanding, and announced lines that have not yet arrived appear under the NEXiO preorder section.

Can I buy a NEXiO device on its own?

Not currently. Unlike the IVG PRO and SMART MAX platforms, which both list bare devices, NEXiO hardware is sold as part of a complete kit at £10.95. Since that is only £3 more than a refill on its own, buying a second kit is the usual way people end up with a spare device.

What nicotine strength are NEXiO refills?

20mg/ml nicotine salt, the UK maximum and the only strength offered on this platform. Sealed refills are fixed-specification by design. If you want to choose your own strength you need an open refillable system with bottled e-liquid rather than a closed refill or pod system.

How often will I need to charge it?

Several times across one refill. A long-running refill will always outlast a pocket-sized battery, which is normal rather than a fault. Charge over USB-C from a laptop port or a basic plug, on a hard surface, and unplug when the indicator shows full. Short top-up charges are better for the cell than repeated full discharges.

Why does my new refill taste harsh on the first draw?

The pod had not filled and the wick had not saturated before you drew on it. Dock the refill, stand the device upright for two to three minutes, then take two or three gentle short puffs before vaping normally. A burnt taste on a refill that has been fine for days means the liquid has run out.

Can I swap between two flavours?

Yes. Refills are sealed units, so you can lift one off and dock another whenever you like. Refit the protective plug on the one you are setting aside and stand it upright out of sunlight. Expect a few draws of carry-over flavour after a swap, most noticeably when moving from a strong bubblegum to something delicate.

Should I choose NEXiO or SMART MAX?

Both are refill systems at the same prices, so it is a preference decision. SMART MAX has the larger refill container, forty flavours and a bare device at £4.99. NEXiO is newer, more compact, and carries some flavours SMART MAX does not, such as Mr Blue and Tropical Dream. Most people decide on flavour rather than mechanism.

What does Hub or GB mean on a NEXiO flavour?

They are IVG's naming shorthand, and neither is explained on the packaging. Hub indicates a bubblegum base, so Blue Razz Hub is blue raspberry over gum rather than a plain blue raspberry. GB indicates gummy-sweet character, as in Blue Razz GB. Mistaking one for a straight fruit is a common first-order error.

Is delivery free and when will it arrive?

UK delivery is free on orders over £20, which a kit plus a refill clears. Parcels go on a tracked 24 or 48 hour service depending on the option chosen at checkout, with tracking emailed once collected. Orders placed before the daily cut-off are picked the same working day.

How do I dispose of used refills and the device?

The device contains a lithium cell and falls under WEEE rules, so it goes to a household waste recycling centre with an electricals or battery point, never a household bin. Spent refills and pods mix plastic, metal and liquid residue, so use a vape recycling point where one exists locally. Never burn either.
